Job description

Job Duties:

Work across multiple therapeutic and scientific areas including: cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory, neurological, dermatological, sleep, and autoimmune disorders, as well as mental health, women's health, obesity, infectious diseases, and oncology, with over 100 specific human health conditions. Conduct research studies related to: disease prevalence and incidence, disease burden, treatment utilization, healthcare resource utilization, patient outcomes, caregiver burden, and patterns of medical care and pharmacological treatment. Analytical solutions will be used to support human drug and vaccine developments in adults and children. Perform statistical and epidemiological analyses using large healthcare datasets licensed or collected by Oracle on behalf of pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. Responsible for conducting applied research in scientific area of focus. Investigating applicable solutions through rigorous, protracted studies and ensuring that a quality, integrated solution is delivered in a timely manner, at budget, and to our client's satisfaction. This involves working closely with the client to understand and manage their expectations, as well as working closely with Oracle and third-party vendors to ensure delivery. An experienced professional who is responsible for applying scientific, clinical, healthcare knowledge to provide solutions that meet customers needs. As a member of team, demonstrates expertise to deliver research studies, analysis, presentations and reports on moderately complex customer engagements. Introduces innovative research collection and analysis methodologies on external customer engagements with full autonomy. Work involves using specialized skills sufficient to interpret data/ instructions and applying the relevant research techniques, methodologies with wide discretion. Recommends and implements improvements in research techniques. Possesses solid knowledge in reference to creating project and client related research materials. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality solutions are presented to the customer. May telecommute. (385.33092)

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field.

Position requires:

  • Statistical analyses, including bivariate tests, causal inference methods, model assumption tests, complex modeling and data visualization;
  • Data cleaning, data management and analysis design using different data sources and types from relational databases, including survey data, clinical trials data, administrative data, and longitudinal data;
  • Advanced programming and statistical computing skills in R and SAS;
  • Advanced programming and statistical computing skills in SPSS Statistics;
  • Evaluate statistical methodology and execution, code checks and providing technical guidance; and
  • Conduct literature reviews, writing statistical reports, and presenting statistical results to both statistical and non-statistical audience.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $74,100 to $148,300 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
