Job description

A Snapshot of Your Day
As part of being a Research and Development Project Manager, they will be able to contribute to the overall effort of Siemens-Energy to improve engine efficiencies, reduce gas turbines emissions and engines improvement, providing meaningful and concrete benefit to our customers. Research and Development Project Manager will be central in gathering and motivating the team to progress towards project execution, whilst following quality standard to ensure safe and effective introduction of innovative solutions in gas turbine engines. Part of highly professional and motivated team, they will work with a diverse team, aiming to deliver the project with clear understanding of scope and budget allocation. Specifically, this Project Manager would have the mandate to work on Turbine Blades and Vanes components, helping with the transitions to new suppliers.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Capable of engaging partners to identify project scope and communicating requirements to project teams.
  • Engages Technical Leads and Resource Owners to create project plans in Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and ensures delivery of milestone results according to schedule
  • Manages the project throughout the Product Development Process (PDP) within the defined requirements, and is fully accountable for the delivery of the defined scope.
  • Lead the project execution and coordinate multiple functions including engineering, business controlling, quality, supply chain, manufacturing and other interfaces as required
  • Identifies Project KPI's, determines and manages an effective communication plan to report project status and forecast, while acting as the single point of contact for partner queries.
  • Act as an Entrepreneur throughout project execution by being proactive in identifying opportunities or hurdles, and ensuring timely decisions on open issues, escalating if necessary. Manages risk by devising suitable strategies for risk mitigation based on knowledge of business risk appetites.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering with 8+ years of demonstrable Project Management experience and working across functions.
  • Willing to travel occasionally, with strong leadership, self-motivation, and a passion for ownership.
  • Experience in excellence areas of Project Management incl. Lean and Agile methods.
  • Experience developing, monitoring, and control project plans in an engineering environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of gas turbine products, technology, and product development practices, specifically in Turbines Blades and Vanes Manufacturing
  • RDPM certification, PMP certification, or recognised equivalent (preferred)
