Job description

Our award-winning client is seeking a Process Engineer to support operational excellence and capital improvement projects across their processing and storage operations.Experience in bulk material processing, agriculture-based processing, biomass manufacturing, or food production operations is required.Key Responsibilities Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives across plant operations. Provide engineering support and troubleshooting for process, equipment, and operational issues. Support equipment installation, system testing, and operational readiness for new equipment and capital projects. Coordinate contractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Assist with equipment selection, project scope development, and contractor/vendor management. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new equipment and processes. Perform root cause analysis to address reliability issues, downtime, and quality challenges. Partner with R&D teams on process validation and development activities. Maintain equipment reliability and performance tracking through Guidewheel software. Support engineering work related to facility improvements and plant upgrades.QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering required. 2 10 years of Process Engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial environments. Experience with plant design, process optimization, equipment selection, PFDs and P&IDs, and system implementation. Working knowledge of industrial electrical field devices (limit switches, flow sensors, solenoid valves, proximity switches). Experience with gas flow systems and instrumentation, including valves and pressure transducers. Demonstrated experience managing contractors, installation projects, and change orders. Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
