Job description

Master Flo Valve Inc. is currently seeking a full-time permanent Research and Development (R&D) Technician to work in Edmonton, AB.

The R&D Technician conducts tests and inspections that support the development of new and existing products. This role ensures Master Flo products are tested accurately and to the highest standards for component integrity, cost effectiveness, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes test procedures, ensuring testing is performed in a logical, accurate, and systematic manner
  • Records and presents data collected during testing to allow engineering analysis
  • Completes assembly and testing of any Master Flo product / test fixture / test equipment as required
  • Performs troubleshooting of any Master Flo product / test fixture / test equipment when required
  • Performs maintenance on all research and development equipment
  • Ensures the research and development area is clean and organized
  • Provides input on design, assembly, and productivity of products, fixtures, and techniques
  • Conducts all operations with safety in mind
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from a recognized technical institute with an engineering diploma or sufficient experience portraying assembly, testing or mechanical ability to perform the required responsibilities
  • Practical assembly experience (valves/chokes is an asset)
  • Practical test equipment experience is an asset
  • Oil and gas industry experience is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and LabVEIW an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety

Work Conditions:

  • Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Option for overtime.
  • Work is performed indoors.
