We are looking for passionate and driven Clinical Data Science (CDS) interns to join our J&J MedTech - Electrophysiology (EP) team for a paid summer internship program in Irvine, California.
You will be responsible for:
As a J&J MedTech Preclinical Research intern, you will have the opportunity to work with scientists and data engineers to learn about preclinical data applications specific to help drive clinical success outcomes. You will support projects in areas that range from clinical studies, post marketing studies, Real World Evidence registry studies.
You will gather data to meet specific project objectives by using various informational sources. assists in planning design instrumentation and research methodology for gathering data. Your data analysis will seek to determine trends and discrepancies in patient outcomes.
Qualifications / Requirements:
โ€ข Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
โ€ข Currently pursuing a BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Biostatistics or Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
โ€ข Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
โ€ข Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.
โ€ข Candidates must be a self-motivated and have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
โ€ข Ability to demonstrate strong analytical, quantitative, and programming skills is required.
โ€ข Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills are preferred.
The expected pay for this position is $26.50 per hour. Co-Ops/Interns are eligible to participate in Company sponsored employee medical benefits in accordance with the terms of the plan. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year. Co-Ops and Interns are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension).
