What You'll Do
  • Provide individualized instruction tailored to each student's academic, behavioral, and developmental needs
  • Create engaging lesson plans and interactive classroom activities that support student learning and growth
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
  • Observe and assess student progress, behavior, and social-emotional development
  • Collaborate with families, support staff, therapists, and fellow educators to support student success
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide ongoing feedback
  • Support students with functional, behavioral, and community-based learning skills
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, trainings, seminars, and team collaboration meetings

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Valid California Education Specialist Credential:
    • Mild/Moderate Support Needs (with Autism Authorization), or
    • Moderate/Severe / Extensive Support Needs
  • Intern, Preliminary, or Clear Credential required

Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in special education settings
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies and functional curriculum development
  • Strong classroom management, organization and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with diverse and intensive learning needs
