Company Mission
To be the world's leading manufacturer of complex food ingredients, specializing in the industrial supply of custom developed food solutions for the world's leading retail food, foodservice and healthcare product manufacturers.
Essential Functions
  • (REWORD) Knowledgeable in Company's Food Safety and Quality Programs - Serve as main POC
  • Ensures product safety, regulatory compliance, and compliance with company standards as stated in the Quality Assurance Manual, Laboratory Manual, and Company directives
  • Conduct standardized tests to ensure compliance with customer specifications and FDA regulations regarding factors such as brix, pH, bostwick, Percentage of Total Acid, and Vitamin C.
  • Analyze own and other's test results in order to provide feedback, direction, and approval/disapproval of in process goods.
  • Analyze test results of products at equilibrium to determine further testing, action required, or final approval.
  • Maintain Finished Good Retention Program including quarterly audits.
  • Comprehension of lab related testing procedures.
  • Perform sensory evaluation on raw materials and finished goods.
  • Work collaboratively with production staff to ensure product is manufactured according to standards.
  • Maintain hold log of non - conforming materials, packaging, and finished goods; including but not limited to putting non-conforming materials on hold, assisting with review and investigations of NC hold items.
  • Perform line audits and quality inspections throughout their shift
  • Collect and stage samples for testing
  • Serve as escalation point of contact for any non-conformance or concerns to QA Supervisor and Manager and relay information cross departmentally.
  • Adherence to GMP Policies
  • Accurately record and interpret data
  • Assist and review, as needed or assigned, with facility verification programs.
  • Verification of Plant Sanitation Programs to collect and test ATP Swabs, Allergen Swabs, and other environmental swabs.
  • Maintain a clean working environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Regular and Predictable Attendance Required

Qualifications
  • BS in Food Science or related field preferred, equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • 0-3 years of experience in a relevant food science role.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing facility strongly preferred.
  • Reads, speaks and writes English.
  • Basic addition, subtraction proficiency. Understands temperature and weight measures.
  • Regular and Predictable Attendance Required
