The Senior R&D Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality new membrane designs that meet aggressive customer applications. This role will lead the development of new membrane designs, enhance existing processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies. By doing so, the Senior R&D Process Engineer will ensure the highest quality standards, address current bottlenecks, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.

This position reports to the R&D Director and is part of the Filtration R&D located in Pensacola, Florida, USA and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Performs research (biology, chemistry, mechanical, software, etc.) to generate analytical data for internal and/or external clients.
  • Responsible for the investigation of new technologies and experimentation directed at the practical application of scientific theories.
  • Assures that programs meet scientific objectives and are aligned with customer needs.
  • Builds relationships with industry/technology key opinion leaders.

Who you are:

  • Master degree in Chemical engineering, Material engineering or similar field
  • 3 years industrial experiences in process engineering
  • Competent in fundamental of organic material science and engineering
  • Lead process characterization and development for transformational new technologies
  • Execute project from lab scale, pilot scale to manufacturing scales

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • < 25% travel is required for this role
  • May occasionally work on overnight or weekend if needed

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Lean Six Sigma
  • Project management
  • DOE
