This position supports market and economic research efforts within the Capital Management Group (CMG). Aids the enhancement of forecasting or quantitative tools necessary for the investment process. Facilitates timely, appropriate investment decisions by CMG associates through analysis and research.


Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis - Sources and interprets data related to the economy and markets. Effectively communicates analysis in verbal and written formats.
  • Research - Performs research studies to provide relevant, accurate information to associates. Reviews academic literature and research papers to identify potential process enhancements.
  • Business Support - Develops materials to educate internal wealth partners about market and economic views.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Investment Research in the Financial Services Industry OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Investment Research in the Financial Services Industry

Preferred skillls:

  • Preferred Area of Study: Bachelors degree in Finance, Business or Economics
  • Interest in, or progress toward a CFA designation
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with particular emphasis on Excel
  • Familiarity with econometrics and statistical techniques
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and its operational functionality
