GENEX Cooperativeย is seekingย a Reproductive Program Senior Technician in Clinton County NY to provide professional and personalized Artificial Insemination service and breeding program assistance to members and customers that result in improved profit potential and satisfaction for them. In addition, sell GENEX semen, services, products, and programs to achieve sales goals and develop new business in sales area.

This position isย 99% dairyย emphasis and 1%ย beefย emphasis.

Major Areas of Accountability

  • Provide Artificial Insemination (AI) services to members and customers
  • Provide Breeding Program assistance to members and customers
  • Sell GENEX AI services, semen, products and programs
  • Provide reproductive management expertise to members that will improve reproductive performance in their herds
  • Consistently make farm visits with prospects to develop and gain new customers

Qualifications

  • Strong dairy background with experience working with dairy cows
  • Degree in Agriculture or equivalent experience is preferred
  • Experience in heat detection on large farms
  • Aggressive sales and service person who is self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must possess communication and people skills
  • Willingness to learn and develop both personally and professionally
  • Computer skills are required; and ability to work with herd management software is a plus
