Per Diem Medical Assistant

Location: Sandy, UT
Schedule: Per Diem (As Needed) | Availability Monday-Sunday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a flexible and patient-focused Per Diem Medical Assistant to join our growing clinical team in Sandy, Utah. This position offers the opportunity to pick up shifts as needed while supporting exceptional patient care in a specialized outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is adaptable, dependable, and enjoys working closely with patients and providers in a collaborative environment.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for appointments, exams, and procedures while ensuring a positive patient experience
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant patient information
  • Assist providers with examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures
  • Provide patient education and reinforce care instructions as directed by providers
  • Support clinic workflow by coordinating patient care activities and maintaining efficient patient flow
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection according to established protocols
  • Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms and clinical areas
  • Maintain clinical supplies and assist with inventory management
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
  • Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • Previous experience in an outpatient clinic, medical office, or specialty practice preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience required or strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing clinic needs
  • Women's health, fertility, or OB/GYN experience is a plus
