Job description

We have an opening for a Reporting Engineer in Plano, TX. Start date is 9/1 and will last for 7+ MONTHS. This is a temp to perm role
Local only. Needed in the office 3-5 days a week

Pay Rate is 53-60/hr

 Do you have 5+ years of experience developing reports, data extracts, and automated reporting solutions?
 Do you have Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, aggregations, subqueries, CTEs, and performance optimization?
Description:
   5+ years of experience developing reports, data extracts, and automated reporting solutions.
•    Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, aggregations, subqueries, CTEs, and performance optimization.
•    Experience querying and extracting data from multiple relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
•    Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting for report automation and data processing.
•    Experience generating and distributing automated reports via email, including attachment creation and scheduling.
•    Working knowledge of data warehouse concepts, including fact tables, dimension tables, star schemas, and historical data structures.
•    Experience creating reports in tools such as Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, or similar reporting platforms.
•    Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and advanced formulas.
•    Ability to troubleshoot data issues, validate report accuracy, and perform data reconciliation.
•    Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
•    Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
•    Good communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•    Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data integration tools.
•    Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform).
•    Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, Jira, or other version control and work management tools.
•    Basic understanding of data governance, security, and access controls.
