Title: Senior Business Intelligence Developer Location: Troy, MI (Hybrid) Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00AM – 5:00PM EST Note: This is a W2 contract position – C2C, 1099, & 3 rd party candidates will NOT be considered Under the direction of a Manager, Director, or Lead/Experienced Developer, The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will implement a comprehensive program to extract data using a computer programming language, or collect data, then analyze it and effectively report information from this data to a variety of customers in a user-friendly and actionable way. This position generates reports, develops tools, and provides consultative support, as needed. Our customers include physicians, physician groups, physician leaders, hospital leaders, the Board of Trustees, system leadership, transformation consulting, clinical/non-clinical services, Markets, Community, Service Lines, Revenue Cycle, Finance, external oversight/regulatory bodies, or any other user needing information.

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer should be able to enhance the data driven culture and work in cross-collaboration to gather data, generate reports, develop automated tools, and provide actionable interpretation of information to all the customers. The candidate must be able to present information to customers at all levels, including but not limited to executives, physicians, clinical staff, peers, and external oversight/regulatory bodies, as well as independently develop comprehensive data assets, ad-hoc reports, and implement new or improved reporting processes to support strategic goals, clinical efforts, and any business initiative. They must be able to work with least amount of direction, manage deadlines, maintain timeliness, delivery, and high quality of the products.

They must anticipate and quickly adapt to evolving needs of the customer, consistently demonstrating excellent analytical and problem-solving skills while maintaining keen attention to detail. Ideal candidates for this role must be able to handle complex and ambiguous requests, maintain timeliness of delivery and data quality, and manage changing deadlines. Position Duties: · Create reports, metrics, tools, data models, data-marts, cubes, dashboards, document process flows, fulfil data needs for the Service Lines on priority basis, and work on one-time requests from other areas of the system · Work with Value Based Care IT & Analytics Interfaces with Population Health leaders to understand how data solutions can make a positive impact and provide consulting, design reports, build solutions, as needed, while liasing between Analytics and Business leaders · Gather detailed requirements, document them in our central intake process, identify existing solutions in the Analytics space or, if a new solution is needed, create a detailed product delivery plan, navigate tools, pull preliminary data from internal or external systems, such as MiHIN, Payor Interfaces, Azara, and any others, as required · Manage Per-Member-Per-Month, Case Management, Ambulatory, and Utilization Management-related work, as directed by leadership · Support Revenue Cycle Analytics, working with charge, payments, adjustments, billing, and claims data · Create reports aligned with the yearly Playbook initiatives · Develop customer requested automated tools, reports, dashboards, data models, data-marts, and/or data analyses for Coding, Billing, Bad Debt, Payments, Revenue, Customer Service data, or others, as needed Position Qualifications: · 4 years of experience in a Healthcare or Business setting · 4 years of expert-level skill in the use of advanced Excel, SQL, report building, tool development, requirements gathering, and technical documentation · Experience in the use and design of Relational Databases, Data Models, Data Visualizations, curated datasets, and data cubes, or experience in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) report development and functionality of any EMR technology (Cerner, McKesson, etc., preferably EPIC) · Experience maintaining code repositories on SCM system, with a familiarity merging, pushing, pulling, branching, staging, and code commenting or MS TFS · Good understanding of fundamental computer programming concepts or Electronic Medical Record systems, with a basic understanding of statistical and Machine Learning concepts, dimensional models, and/or Data Warehouse systems · Experience with Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Cognos, Looker, Toad, Minitab, PowerBI, Qlik, SSRS, or other industry tool · Experience developing multidimensional, semantic layers and analytics query objects for end-users · Proven customer service experience, with strong active listening skills · Ability to present complex information to diverse audiences · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Ability to make decisions with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice in mind · A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Business, Healthcare, or other relevant field .
