Job description

Overview
The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for leading the Demand Planning process for the assigned region, with a focus on continuously improving Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Bias. The Demand Planning Manager effectively liaises between Sales, Finance, Marketing, Global Supply, and Operations. Coordinating the Demand Review activities within the Sales & Operations Planning process for BISSELL is a key part of the role. The Demand Planning Manager provides the appropriate insight and planning scenarios to senior management, with excellent discernment in the commercial side of the business. Key KPI's for this role are Forecast Accuracy and Forecast Bias.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Demand Planning process for assigned region.
    • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Customers on getting the best possible demand forecast.
    • Drive cross functional alignment on the unconstrained forecast and communicate adjustments attributed to the constrained forecast to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and lead Regional Demand Reviews within the Sales & Operations Planning process
    • Coordinate and enhance Demand Review process, gathering inputs from each assigned region.
    • Prepare, validate, and publish materials and tools for each step in the S&OP process.
    • Document and communicate open and closed decisions, meeting minutes and actions.
  • Perform analytics on demand and prepare reporting for senior leadership.
    • Maintain the periodic cross functional S&OP / IPP reports and analysis.
    • Provide executive summaries of monthly forecast updates, highlighting results and drivers.
    • Drive the analytics agenda on operational performance.
    • Support the Annual Planning process with insights on commercial performance and long-range forecasts.
  • Provide direct leadership to assigned regional team and influence the Global Demand Planning team.
    • Contribute to the E2E planning strategy and deployment.
    • Coach and lead the US demand planning team.
    • Drive training and adoption of o9, Domo and other planning systems.
  • Identify and implement improvements in the planning process.
    • Drive the continuous enhancement of the demand planning processes and planning parameters.
    • Act as process and continuous improvement owner for US demand planning systems (o9, Domo, etc.).
  • Stay current with supply chain best practices specific to forecasting.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
  • Degree minimum: Bachelor's Degree
  • Specific concentration: Business, Engineering, Data Science
  • Experience level: 8+ years in Supply Chain positions; minimum of 4 years of supply chain planning experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
  • Supply Chain Certification
  • 3-5 years experience with retail forecasting
  • Demonstrated experience using o9 Solutions planning software
  • Prior experience with direct people leadership
