Position Overview

We are seeking a talentedย Mechanical Design Engineerย to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of innovative electro-mechanical products. This role is responsible for designing new mechanical components, enhancing existing products, supporting cost reduction initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has experience designing mechanical components for manufactured products, enjoys hands-on engineering work, and is proficient with 3D CAD software, particularly Siemens NX.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and modify mechanical components and assemblies for electro-mechanical products using 3D CAD software.
  • Create detailed models, drawings, layouts, and engineering documentation.
  • Support new product development as well as improvements to existing products.
  • Participate in cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, laboratory, and project management.
  • Prepare technical reports, engineering specifications, and product documentation.
  • Work with suppliers to optimize designs for manufacturability, tooling, and production costs.
  • Assist with prototype assembly, product testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical issues.
  • Support manufacturing and field teams in resolving product-related concerns.
  • Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical design experience in a manufacturing or product development environment.
  • Experience designing electro-mechanical or mechatronic products.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly processes.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
