Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead operations at our well-established collision repair facility in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
This role offers the opportunity to run the entire shop operation, including production, staff leadership, customer service, and financial performance. The General Manager will partner closely with ownership to improve operational efficiency, grow revenue, and help expand the business.
The shop has an excellent reputation in the local market and significant growth potential, including additional facility capacity that is not yet being utilized. The right leader will have the opportunity to drive growth and directly benefit from the results through a strong profit sharing structure.
Key Responsibilities
Shop Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the collision repair shop
  • Manage production workflow from vehicle intake through final delivery
  • Ensure repairs meet quality standards and delivery timelines
  • Maintain efficient production flow between estimating, parts, body, and paint departments
Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and develop a small but growing team of front office and production staff
  • Provide clear direction, accountability, and coaching to employees
  • Foster a positive and performance driven work environment
Financial Performance
  • Monitor shop revenue, gross profit, and operational expenses
  • Drive improvements in labor efficiency, cycle time, and shop throughput
  • Support ownership with financial reporting and performance analysis
Estimating & Insurance Relations
  • Review and present repair estimates to customers and technicians
  • Manage supplement approvals and insurance communications
  • Maintain strong working relationships with insurance carriers and DRP programs
Customer Experience
  • Ensure excellent customer service from intake through vehicle delivery
  • Address customer concerns and maintain the shop's strong reputation in the community

Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing a collision repair shop or automotive service operation
  • Prior roles may include Body Shop Manager, Collision Center Manager, or Production Manager
  • Strong knowledge of the collision repair process including estimating, supplements, parts, and production flow
  • Experience working with insurance carriers and DRP programs
  • Ability to lead a team and drive performance using KPIs
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Basic financial management skills including revenue, gross profit, and expense oversight
  • Experience using CCC ONE estimating software (required)
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • I-CAR training or certifications
  • Experience with shop management systems such as Rome Technologies
  • Previous responsibility for shop P&L performance

  • Base Salary: $85,000
  • Performance Bonus: Monthly bonus based on shop gross profit and quality metrics
  • Profit Sharing: 30 percent of bottom-line profit above owner baseline
  • On Target Earnings: Approximately $117,000+ annually
