Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc., a leading distributor of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages in Central and Southwest Virginia, is looking for a part time WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE to help grow our business.

Our Associates working in the warehouse are responsible for safely picking, moving, and loading our beverage products onto our delivery trucks.

Job Type: Full Time - Days

Duties:

  • Accurately receive and check in products from in-bound shipments, using computerized route accounting system
  • Move product from receiving to assigned bin locations using powered equipment.
  • Keep the assigned area clean, organized, neat and stocked, while ensuring proper rotation of product.
  • Assist with building pallets of products for transfers.
  • Assist with inventory counts by participating in weekly, monthly, or annual inventory cycles.
  • Adhere to strict safe working practices and company policies.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Previous experience with computerized warehousing preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience using a forklift, or electric pallet jack experience preferred.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen that includes THC.

The following list of physical requirements are required to perform the entire job: standing; walking; sitting; stooping; fine finger and hand manipulation; Ability to lift and carry, including overhead lifting, 15-40 pounds or more on a repetitive basis during a 10- to 15-hour day with frequent bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and sitting. Ability to occasionally lift heavy items up to 135lbs.
