Title - CAD/CAM Application Engineer
Location - Detroit, MI
Salary - $100K/year
Job Summary -
Qualified IT professional with a strong engineering background and work experience related to the CAD/CAM suite of Engineering applications.

The associate, who will be situated in Detroit, will report to the Manager of IT for Engineering Applications. The individual will lead large initiatives like managing the application portfolio for Engineering software across several customer sites. They should be skilled at using automation and digital transformation to turn requirements into outputs.

The associate will also be responsible for the licensing of all engineering applications, running daily operations, and comprehending server and hardware upgrades. It is critical to have a validated capacity to multitask between operations and projects.

Responsibilities -

  • Provide operational support for CAD/CAM applications through organizational change, incident resolution, and problem solving. Depending on the priority of the ticket, handle customer service center inquiries, problems, and tickets and satisfactorily resolve them within the predetermined time frames.
  • Manage and support PTC products including Windchill Business administration, Upgrade, Implementation, Installation and Configuration.
  • Manage and maintain the Engineering Application portfolio for CAD and CAM applications.
  • Provide support for OEM toolkits and their PLM systems/clients in an AAM environment. Examples of these include toolkits and GMPDL for GM Teamcenter clients, Ford Teamcenter, Nissan Teamcenter, and similar OEMs.
  • License management for Engineering Applications. This entails supervising license usage, leading and negotiating license contracts and coordinating license requests and renewals with the vendors.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams in a diversified setting to incorporate recently acquired businesses into AAM.

Qualifications -

  • 7-10 years of prior experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science / Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Relevant Project Management Certifications
  • dvanced user in NX with the ability to understand and support operations for global NX users. Provide NX Integration support with Siemens Teamcenter PLM
  • dvanced knowledge in supporting PTC Creo. Support ProE Windchill install and/or configure the systems. Advanced knowledge of working with legacy Windchill systems and databases and upgrade and migrate out of PTC Windchill to NX.
  • dvanced knowledge in supporting Solidworks and upgrade for Solidworks PDM systems and databases
  • dminister Autodesk products, have a thorough understanding of Autodesk licensing.
