What would you do in this role?ย 

As a Senior Software Developer, you'll be working on a fast paced team responsible for the code that powers our ultimate goal of helping people invest and be smarter, happier and richer. Successful Fools have well-formed opinions (stemming from their broad experience) and the ability to jump right into code independently.

But what does this role actually do?
  • Develop and maintain web applications using a variety of technologies, including but not limited to React, Next.js, TypeScript, TailwindCSS and occasionally Python.ย 
  • Collaborate with other team members on best practices for efficient and sustainable engineering, focusing on achieving a balance between aesthetics, scalability, and performance.
  • Provide and receive technical feedback through pair programming and code reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with design, product, and leadership teams to anticipate future needs and align our technology roadmap with long-term goals.
What do you need to apply?
  • 5+ years of developing highly performant and scalable web applications
  • Proficiency with agentic workflows and AI-driven automationย 
  • High level of proficiency in React, Next.js, Typescript, GraphQL and REST APIs
  • Understanding of backend development using Pythonย 
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience working with sophisticated application state, e.g. Apollo Client, Redux
  • Experience with Docker, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines for Python applications
  • Proven track record in high-performance teams
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Familiarity with security best practices in web development
