We helppeopleunderstand and use trees as a solution to global issues (like air quality, water quality, climate change, deforestation, poverty, and hunger) that are critical to survival.  

Play a direct role in helping distribute trees to communities across the country - turning environmental commitments into meaningful, on-the-ground impact.  

Join the Arbor Day Foundation as aProject Delivery Specialiston the Mission Delivery team and play a key role in turning tree distribution commitments into well-executed, scalable project delivery. You’ll coordinate across teams, translate inputs into actionable plans, and build campaigns in our internal platform to bring projects to life. Your work will drive strong execution, from planning through launch and delivery, supporting tree distribution efforts that advance our mission and strengthen partner relationships. 

 
Your Support System: 

  • You’llreport to the Senior Manager, Community Trees  
  • You’llcollaborate with Corporate Partnerships, Procurement, Fulfillment, and external partners.  

How we work: 

  • Location: Lincoln, Nebraska 
  • Schedule:In-office Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday; optional remote work on Wednesday and Friday.Occasional weekend on-call availability is needed during peak operational periods or time-sensitive partner support 
  • Travel:10–15%, up to 4 trips per year for meetings, tree plantings or distribution events, and Foundation conferences.  

Whatyou’lldo: 

  • Serve as the central driver for project execution - translating partner commitments and internal requests into clear, actionable project plans with defined scope, timelines, logistics, and deliverables.  
  • Bring structure and clarity across teams by coordinating inputs from Corporate Partnerships, Procurement, Fulfillment, and internal teams to align goals, resources, and timelines and ensure seamless delivery.  
  • Lead and manage projects end-to-end, from initial request through campaign launch, event delivery, and closeout - ensuring each stage is executed with clarity, accuracy, and timeliness 
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, tracking milestones, mitigating risks, and resolving challenges to keep projects on track 
  • Build and manage campaigns within the Foundation’s Community Tree Distribution (CTD) tool, translating project details into system-based outputs and preparing campaigns for launch 
  • Troubleshoot and update campaigns as needed (e.g., timing, location, species, logistics), and escalate system issues to technology partners when appropriate 
  • Maintain accurate project data across systems (CRM, project management tools, and CTD), ensuring visibility, consistency, and alignment across stakeholders 
  • Communicate proactively, setting expectations, resolving gaps, and keeping internal teams and partners aligned throughout the project lifecycle 
  • Support external partners with logistical coordination, including shipping updates, event preparation, and day-of support as needed 
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce friction across handoffs, and strengthen how projects are delivered at scale 
  • Represent the Foundation with professionalism and authenticity in partner meetings, conferences, and events
