WHAT YOUR DAY MAY LOOK LIKE
No two days are the same in this rolebut every day centers on helping children discover the joy of reading and the confidence that comes with it.

  • Bring stories to life by leading interactive read-alouds, literacy activities, and discussions that inspire a love of reading.
  • Support every learner by adapting instruction to meet different reading levels, learning styles, and individual needs.
  • Plan engaging lessons by selecting books, preparing hands-on activities, and creating meaningful literacy experiences each week.
  • Build lasting relationships with children by providing encouragement, consistency, and a safe space where every participant feels supported.

  • Track student progress by documenting attendance, reading outcomes, and grant metrics that demonstrate program impact.
  • Create an inclusive environment where every child feels welcomed, respected, and excited to learn.
  • End the day knowing you've made a difference, whether it was helping a reluctant reader gain confidence, celebrating a reading milestone, or sparking a lifelong love of books.
