Key Responsibilities

As a Senior LCSW with Red River Mental Health Services, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to understand the mental health status of patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on best practices.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, utilizing solution-focused methodologies tailored to the complexities of each patient’s situation.
• Keeping accurate and timely clinical documentation within our electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational protocols.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and chaplains, to create cohesive care plans and ensure comprehensive support for our patients.
• Participating in case consultations and multidisciplinary team meetings to evaluate patient progress and enhance the quality of care provided.
• Educating patients and their families about mental health issues, promoting awareness and understanding of treatment options available.
• Staying informed on the latest research in psychotherapy and mental health practices to continually improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position provides the opportunity to work with a diverse patient demographic, including individuals facing terminal illnesses and their families. You will offer emotional support, counseling, and therapeutic interventions to aid in coping with anxiety, depression, and emotional distress related to their situations. The focus is on enhancing the quality of life for both patients and caregivers during critical transitional periods.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCSW license issued by the state of New Jersey.
• At least three years of clinical experience, preferably in end-of-life care or hospice settings.
• Demonstrated proficiency in solution-focused psychotherapy and evidence-based practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
• A collaborative mindset conducive to working in a teamwork-focused environment.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be given preference:

• Experience working with terminally ill patients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits
