Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments that identify clients' social, emotional, and environmental challenges.
• Develop tailored service plans that outline specific goals, interventions, and methods for progress monitoring.
• Provide empathetic counseling and support through individual and family therapy sessions to guide clients through complex life challenges.
• Actively collaborate with clients to create personalized service plans, ensuring they are linked to pertinent community resources that may improve their situation.
• Offer crisis intervention, risk assessment, and safety planning for clients in immediate distress.
• Work closely with community organizations to coordinate services and advocate for the diverse needs of clients.
• Engage in community outreach activities aimed at raising awareness of social issues and promoting the valuable services offered by our agency.
• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development and training sessions to enhance your skills and contribute to team initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as an LCSW, you will primarily serve individuals and families experiencing various difficulties, from mental health challenges to socio-economic hardships. The diverse client population includes those affected by trauma, domestic violence survivors, individuals facing housing instability, and those dealing with substance abuse issues. Our holistic approach allows you to address not only immediate concerns but also the systemic factors contributing to their struggles.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• An active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to social and economic justice issues, along with trauma-informed care principles.
• Outstanding communication, cultural competence, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a social service agency or setting focused on mental health, community support, or crisis intervention.
• Familiarity with local community resources and support systems available in the Laredo, Texas area.
• Previous experience with case management and advocacy for underserved populations.
