Work Environment

This role offers a remote working arrangement, allowing you to interact with school-based clients online while maintaining flexibility in your schedule. You will work collaboratively with educators, families, and healthcare providers to create holistic approaches to mental health in schools. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services to students experiencing symptoms of major mental illness and severe emotional disorders through both virtual sessions and school-based interventions.
• Participate actively as a member of multidisciplinary teams, fostering collaboration and communication to achieve shared goals for student welfare.
• Conduct evidence-based screenings and assessments to determine the appropriate level of care and ensure timely interventions.
• Develop and implement integrated care plans by coordinating with available services, effectively exchanging relevant information with clients, families, and other providers.
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, emphasizing therapeutic techniques that promote recovery, resilience, and emotional well-being.
• Assist clients in crisis situations by providing immediate interventions, ensuring their safety, and coordinating referrals when necessary.
• Monitor client progress, documenting all interventions and maintaining compliance with organizational and professional standards.
• Participate in departmental committees aimed at enhancing service delivery and improving mental health support within schools.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will work primarily with children, adolescents, and their families in educational settings. You will address a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and trauma-related challenges. Our focus is on a strengths-based approach that empowers clients and encourages active participation in their treatment plans.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is required.
• A valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas is mandatory.
• Extensive knowledge of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies related to mental health.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with various stakeholders.
• Expertise in cultural competency and understanding of various backgrounds, ensuring respectful interactions with clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within team settings.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents is preferred.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable to better serve our diverse clientele.
