Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders, such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
• Collaborate with clients to design individualized treatment plans that reflect their specific goals, personal circumstances, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting methodologies to suit each client.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance understanding and coping mechanisms.
• Monitor and document client progress effectively, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on observed outcomes and feedback.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated treatment and support for each client's mental health needs.
• Stay informed on the latest research and clinical advancements related to mood disorders to continually improve therapeutic practices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations and team meetings to discuss complex cases and share insights with colleagues.
• Advocate for mental health awareness, striving to destigmatize conditions and promote accessibility to services for underserved populations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including those from varied backgrounds, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Qualifications

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.

• Empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude are essential for facilitating a supportive therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

• The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
