Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, gathering comprehensive information to inform treatment planning.
• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring a tailored approach to therapy.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders effectively.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies for maintaining mental health.
• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on evolving needs and feedback.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care for clients.
• Stay informed on current research and advancements in the field of mental health, particularly related to mood disorders, to enhance treatment efficacy.
• Maintain meticulous client records in adherence to legal, ethical, and confidentiality standards, ensuring accurate documentation of treatment progress.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to refine your therapeutic skills and contribute to team initiatives.
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, working to reduce stigma and promote awareness within the broader community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is on clients experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and Bipolar disorder. H.O.P.E Healthcare Clinic serves a diverse clientele, offering a rich tapestry of experiences and backgrounds. This role requires a therapist who is not only proficient in therapeutic techniques but is also empathetic and understanding of the complex issues clients face.

Qualifications

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential for this position.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Demonstrable empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude towards clients’ experiences and challenges are crucial.
