The Senior Territory Sales Manager, Mass Spectrometry, is responsible for the sale of SCIEX Mass Spectrometry (MS) products within a designated territory, driving revenue and order growth by following up on existing customers, new customer acquisitions, cross-selling to existing customers, competitive conversions and working with distribution channels where possible for increased sales. The Senior Territory Sales Manager, Mass Spectrometry, will be a part of the SCIEX Commercial Organization; covering Eastern MA, with focus on the Cambridge, MA area. The Role will report into the District Sales Manager within a highly dynamic team of Territory Managers, while also partnering with colleagues and the Advanced Workflow Specialist.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and accurately forecast monthly and quarterly sales.
  • Use sales tools and CRM to manage funnel and achieve business results, with regular weekly updates.
  • Show in-depth understanding of our products, systems and services and have the ability to leverage knowledge of the competitive landscape in order to achieve sales in new markets.
  • Work in a team selling environment to navigate complex sales situations across multiple departments within SCIEX and with sales personnel from other Danaher OpCos.
  • Use advanced account planning tools to help guide own work to solve complex sales problems in order to grow prospects and expand pipeline.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) In Life Sciences or similar subject area.
  • Provide Mass Spectrometry sales expertise with regards to market, applications, and competition while accelerating growth for new products and emerging applications.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Mass Spectrometry theory and practice, with no less than 5+ years of capital equipment sales experience.
  • Demonstrate exceptional account management and prospecting skills.
  • Must live within the Greater Boston area with ability to travel within the territory and work remotely from home office

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel - up to 75% travel within territory, with additional extended overnight travel outside of territory, for internal meetings and conferences.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess experience in:

  • Demonstrating strong initiative and willingness to take ownership for results, with advanced verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Be a team player that can bring different departments together for optimal results.
  • Able to build and sustain strong relationships internal and externally.

The Salary Range for this role is $130,000 - $140,000. This job is also eligible for commission, and the total compensation target is $210,0000-$220,000 annually. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
