  • Coordinate and expand Work Based Learning opportunities, including internships, job shadowing experiences, career panels, industry site visits, and other hands-on, experiential learning activities that bring classroom concepts to life.
  • Build and sustain meaningful partnerships with local businesses, industry professionals, workforce development organizations, and community stakeholders to ensure that LCCA's CTE programming remains current, relevant, and aligned with regional and statewide labor market needs.
  • Support students in earning industry-recognized certifications, guiding them through preparation, registration, and completion of credentialing exams that enhance their marketability and career readiness upon graduation.
  • Leverage LCCA's digital infrastructure, Learning Management System (LMS) and a suite of digital tools and curriculum resources, to deliver instruction effectively in a virtual environment and monitor student progress with precision and care.
  • Support students and parents with alternate strategies and provide additional assistance with daily assignments and projects;
  • Keep student records and data up-to-date, including online student and family information, attendance accounting, and logging of all student and parent contacts;

  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of attendance, interventions, communications, and instructional decisions in school systems.
  • Consult regularly with Learning Coaches (parents and guardians who support students in the virtual learning environment) to provide guidance, share progress updates, and ensure that each student is actively engaged with and successfully completing their College and Career Readiness coursework.

Collaboration & Professional Practice
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues including fellow teachers, counselors, and administrative staff, to integrate CTE concepts into a comprehensive, cohesive educational experience that supports the whole student.
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, and other staff to develop alternative enrichment activities, accommodations, and instructional modifications to increase students' understanding.
  • Work with School Counselors to ensure students and families receive appropriate communications, students are making adequate progress, and established goals are being met;
  • Collaborate within the school's professional learning community to continuously monitor student data and make strong instructional decisions that have a direct impact on student learning.

  • Customer-focused approach
  • High degree of flexibility
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player track record
  • Willingness to travel on occasion for school-based meetings, training, marketing, and state testing events (may require occasional overnight travel)
  • Ability to work remotely, if necessary
