POSITION SUMMARY/ C# .Net React

BG Workforce Solutions is seeking two motivated and experienced Senior Full Stack Software Developers to support high-impact Department of War technology initiatives in the United States and abroad. Ideally, we are looking for candidates who are remote and within the Eastern Time Zone.

This role is pivotal in supporting C-level leadership by designing and delivering mission-critical software solutions for the U.S. Military and its partners, spanning ReactJS front-end development through .NET Core back-end architecture. The ideal candidate combines strong front-end craftsmanship with robust back-end engineering, thrives in secure environments, and communicates clearly across technical and executive audiences. Prior experience in government or defense-related programs is highly desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

FRONT END (REACTJS)

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure user interfaces using ReactJS.
  • Own all stages of interface component design, from conception through execution.
  • Translate UX wireframes and mockups into reusable, efficient, and scalable components.
  • Use libraries such as Redux, TanStack Query, and React Router to manage application state, derive computed data, and handle asynchronous API calls.

BACK END (.NET CORE)

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure applications using .NET Core.
  • Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with third-party systems.
  • Work with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) to support application data needs.
  • Support deployment of solutions to cloud environments (Azure/AWS) and help ensure high availability.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL & LEADERSHIP

  • Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and system architects to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
  • Implement and enforce engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
  • Ensure applications meet strict DoW cybersecurity and compliance standards.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to the growth of the engineering team.
  • Provide technical updates and recommendations directly to C-level executives.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute ideas to process refinements and adhere to company branding and documentation standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

CITIZENSHIP & CLEARANCE

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Must pass a strict background check.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience with React.js, including hooks, state management, and performance optimization.
  • Proven experience with .NET Core for building APIs and back-end services.
  • Highly proficient in JavaScript, modern JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
  • Proficient with one or more state/routing libraries (Redux, TanStack Query/Router, React Router, etc.).
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile/Scrum practices.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Strong understanding of modern full-stack application development.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices and DoW cybersecurity requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and development collaboration tools.
  • English language proficiency.

DESIRED SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • TypeScript, Redux, and TanStack (Query/Router) experience.
  • Cloud deployment experience (AWS/Azure).
  • Docker/Kubernetes knowledge.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Jest, xUnit, Playwright).
  • Prior DoW/DoD development experience or military background is a strong plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Remote position; must be able to work within the Eastern Time Zone.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must maintain a home office in compliance with company standards.
  • Flexible hours, with 401(k), health, and dental options for full-time employment.

This critical position offers strong growth potential, especially for candidates eager to contribute their technical expertise in support of national defense.
