Our detox center prioritizes a supportive, innovative, and team-oriented culture, encouraging collaboration and continuous learning. As part of our workforce, you will have access to ongoing training, development programs, and resources to enhance your professional journey and therapeutic skills.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of counseling and client management tasks, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments of clientsโ€™ counseling needs.

  • Utilizing the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) to evaluate substance abuse diagnoses and determine suitable levels of care per ASAM criteria.

  • Developing and documenting individualized treatment plans focusing on the substance abuse counseling component.

  • Designing discharge and continuity of care plans to guide clients to suitable aftercare options.

  • Maintaining detailed records of all counseling services provided, including assessments, follow-ups, and educational resources in client clinical files.

  • Managing a caseload that involves treatment planning, clinical charting, and regular updates on case management and utilization review.

  • Facilitating communication and coordination with clientsโ€™ families and support systems, ensuring a collaborative approach to recovery.

  • Partnering with external referral sources such as legal entities, educational institutions, and employers to enhance the clientโ€™s support network.

  • Implementing crisis intervention strategies alongside a multi-disciplinary team for high-risk clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on clients facing substance use disorders, often compounded by mental health challenges. • A bachelorโ€™s degree in social work or a related field (higher education preferred).

  • Demonstrated professionalism, strong therapeutic boundaries, cultural competence, and self-sufficiency.

  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills tailored for a clinical setting.

Preferred Experience

While it is essential to have a strong foundation in social work, preference will be given to candidates with experience specifically in addiction counseling and co-occurring disorders. Familiarity with best practices in client-focused care, DSM-5 guidelines, and treatment planning are highly advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Employees will also enjoy a robust benefits package that includes:

  • 18 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) to support work-life balance.

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, alongside short-term and long-term disability coverage.

  • Access to company-sponsored training and certification opportunities.

  • Participation in the Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery Loan Repayment Program (STAR LRP).

  • Educational benefits including discounted tuition and scholarships through Capella University.

Career Growth Opportunities
