This position is 100% remote and offers flexibility as a telehealth facility. Counselors will utilize various telecommunication tools and platforms to conduct sessions with clients. • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and document client histories meticulously from initial consultations through treatment completion.
• Collaborate with clients to assess their mental, emotional, and behavioral health while creating tailored intervention and recovery plans.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, adapting techniques to meet specific client needs and ensuring engagement.
• Monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and family members, to ensure holistic care.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges effectively.
• Provide ongoing support and resources for family members and caregivers to assist them in managing their loved ones' mental health issues.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Dalton Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and various behavioral health concerns. Our goal is to provide compassionate and individualized care, recognizing the unique challenges that each client faces.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
• Proven ability to pass the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective dialogue with clients and colleagues.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, characterized by empathy, sensitivity, and active listening.

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, ideally in a telehealth environment.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Familiarity with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, including withdrawal and recovery processes.
• Understanding of how prescribed medications can impact mental health treatment.

Dalton Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year, with potential sign-on bonuses for exemplary candidates.
