Job description

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, is seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to join the Commercial Sales team. You will be considered a primary contact at Wolfram, using your excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to work directly with startup companies and commercial business clients. A mix of technical and sales knowledge is required, as well as a love for cutting-edge technology. Our current commercial clientele includes Fortune 500 companies, such as well-known names like Google, Apple, Intel, AMD and Franklin Templeton.

A clear employment verification and education verification will be required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and growing sales by:
    • Outbounding to commercial clientele to communicate and present how our technologies can provide business solutions
    • Serving as the primary contract negotiation point of contact to expand the size and magnitude of existing customer contracts
    • Negotiating contracts and acting as the liaison with the customer, the customer’s legal team and the Wolfram legal team
    • Maintaining the SugarCRM pipeline of opportunities and close sales
    • Providing accurate forecasting information to sales management of expected sales
    • Responding to customer leads and inquiries
    • Traveling to each of the organizations assigned to you to provide technical talks, meet with business clients and build relationships, and set up sales-driven meetings with clients as well as IT/purchasers and decision-makers to drive revenue forward
    • Serving as the primary liaison at Wolfram for all inquiries by clients at the organizations within their territories and ensuring top-quality relationships with timely and quality responses

Job Type: Full time (40 hours per week)/Permanent
Reporting to: Director of Sales & Strategic Initiatives
Salary (for eligible candidates residing in the United States): The base salary for this position is expected to be up to $50,000 per year with expected on-target earnings (OTE) of $70,000–$90,000 (including bonuses and commissions). Your exact offer and OTE may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
