Job description

Wolfram, creator of Mathematica, Wolfram|Alpha and Wolfram Language, has an exciting opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our Human Resources department. This individual will support the HR and Recruiting teams in our fast-paced environment with administrative tasks.

A clear employment verification and background check will be required for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Providing administrative assistance to the Human Resources and Recruiting departments
  • Assisting with day-to-day operations and employee requests
  • Auditing and maintaining employee files and HR systems
  • Processing required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases and other related employment matters
  • Assisting with the preparation of human resource reports, such as attendance, new hire and turnover reports
  • Ensuring company standards, policies and procedures are maintained
  • Supporting HR and Recruiting with their functions, meetings and special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a professional office setting
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be detail oriented and organized
  • Ability to work individually and with a team
  • Ability to handle yourself in a professional and unbiased manner in situations requiring discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to handle multiple/changing tasks, priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred qualifications

  • Associate’s degree
  • Experience running and organizing reports in Excel
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems such as UKG

Location: Champaign, Illinois (Hybrid work is available after completion of a training period.)

Reporting to: Director of Human Resources
Salary (for eligible candidates residing in the United States): The pay rate for this position is expected to be between $20.00 and $23.00 per hour.
