Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Engineer specializing in Windows Administration and Application Support to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Windows-based environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role involves a blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and excellent communication skills to support our internal teams and external clients effectively

Manage and maintain Windows server environments, including but not limited to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management. Ensure systems are patched, up-to-date, and secure.Application Support: Provide technical support for Windows-based applications, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring applications are optimized for performance and availability.Performance Monitoring: Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to proactively identify and resolve issues, ensuring high availability and performance of Windows platforms and applications.Security Management: Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to protect organizational data and IT resources. Respond to and mitigate security incidents.Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system architectures, configurations, processes, and service records.Consulting and Collaboration: Provide expert advice and support to internal teams and external clients, collaborating on IT solutions that align with business objectives.Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices, recommending improvements to systems and processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience in Windows administration, including expertise in managing Windows Server environments and supporting Windows-based applications.Strong understanding of network protocols, infrastructure services, and security principles.Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical issues.Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
