Senior Windows Systems Administrator (Enterprise IT)
Location: Norco, California (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract to Perm
Role Overview
A Windows-focused Systems Administrator is sought to support and manage enterprise IT infrastructure across multiple environments. This individual will have a critical role in systems administration, endpoint management, security compliance, operational maturity, and mentorship of junior staff. The ideal candidate has deep experience in Microsoft enterprise technologies, strong documentation and process discipline, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced administration of Windows Server environments.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory, including Domain Controller deployment, maintenance, and recovery.
  • Manage DNS, DHCP, replication, and authentication troubleshooting.
  • Utilize strong PowerShell scripting for automation capabilities.
  • Perform system patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation in compliance with DoD STIGs, RMF, and cybersecurity controls.
  • Administer Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM / MECM) for OS deployment, imaging, patch management, software packaging, and endpoint lifecycle management.
  • Manage advanced Group Policy Object (GPO) administration for security baseline implementation and policy management.
  • Support and administer Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs and technical documentation.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to junior Windows administrators.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of enterprise IT systems administration experience is required, with extensive experience supporting enterprise Windows environments. Candidates must have proven ability to manage critical infrastructure with minimal supervision and experience working within mature operational and security frameworks.
Technical Skills: Required skills include advanced administration of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP. Extensive experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager / SCCM, advanced Group Policy Object (GPO) administration, and VDI support is necessary. Experience implementing and maintaining Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) STIGs is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with VMware or Hyper-V, WSUS, backup and disaster recovery platforms, and endpoint security platforms.
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting frameworks and M365 management.
  • Microsoft certifications are preferred.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.
