Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your working environment. However, the LCSW will primarily focus on providing counseling services to students, fostering emotional well-being in an educational context. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, working alongside educators, school counselors, and healthcare professionals to form a holistic support system for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments tailored to the needs of students, carefully identifying emotional, social, and academic challenges they may face.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focused on coping strategies, emotional regulation, grief, and adjustment to life changes, particularly in relation to the school environment.
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff and administrators to ensure that students receive the necessary support and interventions tailored to their academic and emotional needs.
• Engage with parents and guardians by offering guidance and resources that empower them to support their children’s mental health and educational journey.
• Develop and implement discharge plans for students transitioning out of care, ensuring they are connected with appropriate community resources for ongoing support.
• Participate actively in school meetings and committees, contributing expertise in social work practices to enhance the overall well-being of the school community.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions to comply with organizational policies and state regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on supporting a diverse population of students facing various mental health challenges. You will work with children and adolescents from different backgrounds, advocating for their emotional and social needs while promoting resilience and academic success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a healthcare or educational setting is preferred, with a focus on adolescent mental health.
• Familiarity with educational systems and understanding of school-based interventions and resources.
• Demonstrated ability to employ crisis intervention techniques and mental health assessments effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
