Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized counseling sessions to clients via secure video chat, addressing their unique mental health needs.
• Utilize therapeutic techniques to encourage clients to articulate their emotions and personal experiences, fostering a deeper understanding of their mental well-being.
• Act as a client advocate by collaborating with them to set realistic goals for their mental health journey.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health conditions, crafting and implementing customized treatment plans informed by evidence-based methodologies.
• Stay updated with best practices in mental health treatment and participate in ongoing training opportunities to enhance your clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients primarily consist of individuals who are stable and presenting low acuity issues, making therapy sessions less intensive but meaningful. Our thorough pre-screening process ensures that therapists are matched with clients whose needs align with their expertise, enhancing the therapeutic relationship and improving client outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• An active independent license in good standing, such as LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor), LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist), or LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) is essential.
• Strong ability to make informed clinical evaluations, recommendations, and treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, compassion, and a supportive approach to client care.
• Proficient computer literacy to effectively use our therapist portal and other relevant digital tools.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with diverse populations and individuals from various backgrounds.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and best practices for providing remote therapy services.
• Prior experience in a community health setting is a plus.
