Position Overview

The Owensboro Mental & Health Wellness Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote position offers the unique opportunity to directly impact the lives of individuals through personalized counseling and support services. As an LMHC, you will be instrumental in providing mental health assessments, developing treatment plans, and fostering the recovery and independence of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client, including pre-crisis and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Complete necessary documentation and reports in a timely manner to comply with regulatory standards and ensure continuity of care.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools and methodologies as recommended by the clinical team to inform treatment decisions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement effective positive behavior support plans for clients, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
  • Participate actively in licensing and accreditation processes to uphold the high standards of our clinic.
  • Serve as a liaison to state agencies and community partners, fostering relationships to enhance client support systems.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with clients and staff, promoting transparency and alignment with agency goals.
  • Create strategic partnerships with local and state organizations for funding opportunities and enhance program visibility.
  • Engage in professional development activities such as attending conferences and training sessions to stay updated on best practices in mental health care.
  • Embody and promote the mission, values, and principles of Owensboro Mental & Health Wellness Clinic within the community.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Clinic Director to support the overall functioning of the clinic.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population that may include individuals facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. Your role will involve providing empathetic support and facilitating pathways to recovery and improved mental health, influencing not only their lives but also the overall health of the community.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Mental Health or related field.
  • A valid and independent Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience working in community health settings and familiarity with evidence-based practices in mental health counseling are preferred. Skills in crisis intervention, treatment planning, and teamwork will also enhance your application.
