This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work-life balance while still being an integral part of our community health services. Inner Fire Wellness Center operates Monday through Saturday, providing our clinicians with the autonomy to create and manage their schedules. Our in-house administrative team provides support for credentialing, insurance participation, and patient scheduling, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional care to your clients.

• Conduct psychosocial assessments for diverse clients, including individuals, adolescents, families, and groups, identifying their specific psychological needs and developing tailored treatment plans.
• Perform initial comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient understanding of their situations and triage care effectively based on urgency and clinical importance.
• Engage in regular interdisciplinary meetings, including patient rounds, to discuss treatment strategies and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Provide high-quality case management, facilitating communication between patients and community resources, and coordinating care with hospital and community professionals.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation that complies with departmental standards, maintaining ethical practices and safeguarding patient confidentiality.
• Implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions and other evidence-based practices, supporting patients and their families in achieving their personalized treatment objectives.

As a Mental Health Counselor at Inner Fire Wellness Center, you will work with a wide array of patients from various backgrounds, including those facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health challenges. Our diverse client base necessitates a culturally competent approach, where you will draw on your experience and training to address unique patient needs effectively.

• A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by the State of California.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating professional efficacy and competence in individual and group therapy modalities.
• Flexibility to work between 10 to 40 hours per week, adapting your schedule to meet patient needs and clinic demands.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in outpatient therapy and those who have previously utilized CBT, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other evidence-based interventions will be highly regarded. Additionally, proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management will enhance your application.
