We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Mental Health Therapist to join our team at the River Oak Psychiatric Center. This is a full-time position based in Victorville, California, allowing for a remote work setting. The successful candidate will specialize in treating mood disorders, providing essential support to clients navigating complex emotional challenges.

This role is characterized by a remote work setting that allows for flexibility while maintaining a high level of engagement with clients and colleagues through virtual platforms. Our usual working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential for some evening and weekend hours on a rotational basis. You will be supported by a collaborative team approach that emphasizes communication and professional development.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ experiences with mood disorders, such as depression and bipolar disorder. This involves gathering detailed clinical information and understanding clients' personal histories.
• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that reflect their individual needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals, utilizing a holistic approach to mental health care.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients manage their symptoms and achieve recovery goals.
• Educate clients and their families on coping strategies for mood disorders, treatment options, and the importance of self-care, fostering a supportive network around each individual.
• Monitor and track clients’ progress during therapy sessions, making necessary modifications to treatment plans in response to their evolving needs and feedback.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless integration of medical and therapeutic services, thus offering comprehensive care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatments to provide the most effective therapeutic options to clients.
• Maintain clear and thorough documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical standards of confidentiality.
• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, actively contributing to discussions on best practices and clinical improvements.
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, working to dismantle stigma surrounding mood disorders and promote greater public awareness.

The focus of this role is on clients living with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Our diverse clientele comprises individuals from varied backgrounds, many of whom face unique challenges in their mental health journeys. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing their quality of life and emotional resilience.

• Possess current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, or PsyD in California.
• Hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrate proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities specifically addressing mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.
• Exhibit a strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other medical personnel.
• Show a proven track record of effectively treating clients with mood disorders, displaying excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to establish rapport with clients.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, focusing on mood disorder treatment in a clinical setting.
• Experience in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage patient information securely and efficiently.
• Background in community health settings is preferred, as it enhances our ability to serve a wide range of clients effectively.
