Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Professional Counselor, your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Providing one-on-one, family, and group counseling sessions tailored to the unique needs of your clients.
• Utilizing cloud-based EHR systems to document sessions, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations for insurance providers, including Medicaid and Medicare.
• Managing treatment programs aimed at helping clients cope with mental health issues, trauma recovery, and dual diagnosis.
• Maintaining client confidentiality and security while identifying problems and working collaboratively on practical solutions.
• Engaging in professional development through internal workshops and external educational opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse patient population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. By incorporating evidence-based practices, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients toward long-term wellness and resilience. Working closely with Empowerment Counseling Services, you are integral to creating tailored interventions that promote healing and empowerment.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• An active and unrestricted professional licensure (LPC) in the state of Tennessee.
• A minimum of three years of experience in mental health counseling.
• A reliable desktop or laptop computer with high-speed internet and a webcam for telehealth sessions.
• The ability to work independently and maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional evening and weekend hours as needed.
• Completion of a thorough background check.

Preferred Experience

Beyond the required qualifications, candidates who possess additional certifications (such as trauma-informed care or clinical hypnosis) or experience with specific therapeutic modalities will be given preference. Familiarity with diverse populations and understanding cultural competencies in mental health care is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
