THE ROLE:ย 

Build, enable, and scale high-performing innovation engineering teams that turn ambiguous ideas into validated, scalable digital products.This role exists to create the conditions for innovation to thrive-by balancing technical excellence, people development, and disciplined transition from exploration to execution.You will lead engineers not just to deliver software, but to reduce uncertainty, validate ideas early, and scale what works-without burning teams out or prematurely locking decisions.This is not a traditional "delivery-first" development management role.

Qualifications

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

ย ย ย ย 7+ years of progressive software development experienceย ย ย ย ย At least 5+ years in engineering management or technical leadership roles; demonstrated success building and leading high-performing development teamsย 

ย ย ย  Proficiency in Automation and/or AI Toolsย 

ย  ย  Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities and timelinesย ย ย ย ย Excellent people leadership skills, including mentoring, coaching, and conflict resolutionย ย ย ย ย Experience scaling development teams and processes as organizations growย ย ย ย ย Experience leading innovation labs or R&D teamsย ย ย ย Product and UX fluencyย ย ย ย Experience scaling teams in high-growth environmentsย ย ย ย Experience with DevOps practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)ย ย ย ย ย Knowledge of mobile and web performance optimization techniquesย ย ย ย ย Understanding of app store submission and compliance processesย ย ย ย ย Familiarity with modern development frameworks and emerging technologiesย ย ย ย ย Product management and user experience understandingย ย ย ย ย Experience managing distributed or remote development teamsย ย ย ย ย Background in startup or high-growth technology environments

Certifications: Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, SAFe), cloud platform certifications, and technical leadership certifications are valued when paired with real innovation leadership experience.

Education

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical fieldPreferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA with technical background valuable for strategic leadershipย
