Job description

Meta is seeking a experienced and results-oriented Warehouse Operations Manager, who will be responsible for the dedicated management of third-party logistics (3PL) operations across Meta’s centralized warehouse network. This position acts as the key operational liaison between Meta and our 3PL providers. You will drive operational efficiency, ensure compliance with Meta’s company standards, and directly support the anticipated centralized warehouse growth in 2026.This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods, supplies, and equipment across our warehouses, data centers, and POP/Hut network.
Warehouse Operations Manager Responsibilities:
  • Engage with internal customers and gain an understanding of their current and future needs
  • Shape the customer-facing vision of the team and the roadmap for internal activities in support of the vision
  • Acts as the focal point of communication with key stakeholders, including internal and external customers at all levels
  • Responsible for leading logistics vendors’ execution in a manner that is compliant with Meta policies and procedures
  • Develops, implements, and manages operational and financial objectives and key results (OKRs) through key performance indicators (KPIs). Collaboratively influences change within supply chain and external vendors
  • Develop standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize deployment efficiency
  • Support developing and implementing tools, processes, and systems for tracking, analyzing, and reporting inventory. and other related metrics
  • Enable effective operational performance & execution across Meta’s multi-echelon supply chain
  • Assist in meeting Sarbanes-Oxley requirements that apply to operations and inventory control within the warehouse
  • Perform root cause analysis on discrepancies related to 3PL operations
  • Develop and maintain standard operational procedures (SOPs) that leverage best practices and streamline the global warehouse operations for scalability into new regions while also providing training platforms for new vendors
  • Engage with internal customers to gain an in-depth understanding of their current and future distribution needs
  • Shape the customer-facing strategy of the team and roadmap internal activities in support of the overall mission
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align logistics operations with organizational goals and objectives, and to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize proficiencies and develop/scale operational management practices
  • Analyze data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges, and develop strategies to address them
  • Support developing and implementing tools, processes, and systems for tracking, analyzing, and reporting inventory

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience in managing outsourced transportation logistics services
  • Hands-on working experience with logistics management systems
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, such as influencing partners, organizations, successful mentoring, supporting the growth of other employees and teams, etc
  • 7+ years of experience in global logistics, distribution, or supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in operations
  • Operational experience at a logistics provider and distribution experience
  • Established competence to leverage quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and drive optimal supply chain execution, including standardizing data analysis across cross-functional partners (e.g., finance, planning, fulfillment)
  • Experience driving continuous improvement, development, standardization, and the implementation of processes and systems

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or an MBA
  • Knowledge of ERP, WM, TMS, and dock schedulers
  • Experience identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing process improvements in logistics or supply chain environments
  • Understanding of relational database structures and systems to help move the field of analysis towards automation integration
  • Experience in logistics operations in a global, high-growth, and automated environment
  • Experience working in or with the import/export environment of a 3PL or carrier
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
