Overview

Planned Systems International (PSI) is an Enterprise IT services company who focuses on designing, building, securing, and operating cutting-edge software solutions and communications systems that drive mission success and operational excellence for Federal Government organizations. We are currently seeking DevOps focused Software Engineer for a program supporting research and development activities in the Health and Defense sectors. This is an amazing opportunity to directly deliver emerging technological capability to our nation's best.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for coordinating with government customer and program leadership for development and execution of cloud and virtualized automation to support AI/ML informed digital engineering design and management.
  • Provide test subject matter expertise in development of automation and integration of associated test methods and models for digital test to achieve validation of design acceptability criteria. 
  • Design, develop and update software pipelines required to complete digital model based tests IAW with approved test plan, and design sprint activity.
  • Support solutioning for program of government customers needs in implementing physics based modelling implementation of advances in AI/ML applications.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain software/hardware solutions in support of PSI's Emerging Technology and Innovation activities in VR/AR, robotics, and UAS.
  • Supports new developmental projects with technical and operational expertise. 
  • Ensures team maintains and complies with all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.
Minimum Requirements
  • 5 years of experience in Software development and engineering.
  • Knowledge of commercial and military cloud and IT systems and networks.
  • Knowledge of government information assurance, policy, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of and experience in automation pipeline design, code optimization and refactoring for optimal performance in advanced math and high power compute, digital test design and execution.
  • 3 years of experience with industry standard test methodologies for hardware, software, and systems verification and validation.
  • Knowledge of containerized solutions for Cloud and IT infrastructures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Robotics and swarming uAS.
  • Digital Thread, Digital Shadow, or Digital Twin technologies.
  • Experience in AR/VR gaming development or AR/VR modelling and simulation.
