Job description

This role is for one of our clients
Compensation: $50-$100 per hour
We are seeking native or native-level French speakers with a clear, neutral, and standard French delivery to support the development and evaluation of next-generation text-to-speech (TTS) technology. This opportunity is well suited to experienced voice actors, narrators, broadcasters, podcasters, and dubbing professionals who can deliver natural, expressive, and consistent recordings across a variety of scripts.
The recordings will be used exclusively for a client's internal CX AI Agent. They will not be sold, licensed, or reused for other products, datasets, or purposes.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Record high-quality voice samples across conversational, narrative, instructional, and other scripted formats.
  • Deliver natural, expressive speech with excellent control over pronunciation, diction, pacing, tone, and intonation.
  • Maintain consistency in voice, accent, vocal quality, and delivery throughout recording sessions.
  • Follow detailed recording requirements covering environment, microphone setup, audio quality, and file formatting.
  • Provide multiple takes with appropriate variations in emotion, emphasis, pacing, and delivery style when requested.
  • Review recordings for clarity, consistency, pronunciation, and technical quality before submission.
  • Collaborate remotely and respond to recording feedback or retake requests as needed.
Requirements
  • Native or native-level proficiency in French with a standard, neutral French accent and no strong regional accent or noticeable foreign-language influence.
  • Proven professional experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, broadcasting, or a related field.
  • Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup, including a quality microphone and quiet recording environment.
  • Strong command of French pronunciation, diction, intonation, pacing, and emotional expression.
  • Ability to follow scripts accurately while maintaining a natural and engaging delivery.
  • Reliable availability of approximately 5-10 hours per week throughout the project.
  • Comfortable working with detailed recording and quality-control guidelines.
Important: Voice Cloning
Your recordings may be used to create a voice clone for the client's internal CX AI Agent. Applicants should apply only if they are comfortable with their voice being cloned for this specific use case. The recordings and resulting voice model will not be sold or reused outside the stated application.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience with TTS, audiobooks, IVR systems, voice assistants, or AI voice datasets.
  • Familiarity with audio-editing and recording software such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper.
  • Ability to deliver multiple vocal styles, including conversational, corporate, energetic, instructional, and calm.
  • Experience working with structured voice-recording projects or scripted datasets.
Work Arrangement
  • Location: Remote; applicants may be based anywhere.
  • Language: French
  • Accent: Standard, neutral French
  • Commitment: Approximately 5-10 hours per week
  • Engagement: Flexible, project-based
  • Work Environment: Remote with access to a suitable professional recording setup.
Equal Opportunity
We consider all qualified applicants without regard to legally protected characteristics and provide reasonable accommodations upon request.
Contract and Payment Terms
  • You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
  • This is a fully remote role that can be completed on a flexible schedule.
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on project requirements and performance.
  • Your work will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
  • Payments will be made weekly based on services rendered through available payment methods.
  • Applicants requiring H-1B or STEM OPT sponsorship are not eligible for this opportunity.
