Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 DOE

WR Immigration is a global immigration firm known worldwide for its innovation, technology, high-touch legal services, and flawless execution. With nine offices in three time zones, the firm provides corporate global visa services in over 100 countries. WR is one of the fastest growing immigration service providers worldwide with over 40 attorneys and 150 immigration professionals working out of offices in Boston, Denver, Los Angeles, Michigan, New York, Oakland, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Monica, and Shanghai.


The global case manager (Experienced Legal Assistant/Visa Consultant) role is an integral part of the firms Global practice, which focuses on assisting clients with employment based immigration matters outside of the US. The bulk of the case manager's time is spent in managing cases, including interacting with clients and with local advisors in countries outside the US. We are currently looking to add an experienced team member to support our practice; the team is headquartered in Michigan, but in-person presence is not required and remote candidates will be considered.


Responsibilities:

  • Case management
    • Under the supervision of attorneys and managers, manage clients immigration cases from initiation to conclusion including establishing case strategy
    • Oversee the work of local advisors to ensure that all necessary steps are being taken during the course of each case
    • Independently lead client calls for business visa cases and work visas and permits where local advisor is included in the call
    • Maintain accurate records and update internal databases in a timely and consistent manner
    • Adhere to current WR and client-specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Promptly alert attorneys and managers of any case escalations so that they may be addressed
  • Client management
    • Proactively manage clients global mobility programs to ensure that clients are provided with strategic advice to ensure the smooth functioning of their programs, including not just active case processing but also expiry tracking, reporting, establishment of policies and programs and compliance initiatives
    • Play a key role in client onboarding, including ensuring that clients have access to an appropriate suite of standard WRapid reports and submitting requests for custom reports to management or IT as appropriate
    • Prepare client presentations for attorney or manager review and delivery
  • Knowledge sharing + management
    • Learn and implement WR-specific case workflows as developed by Global practice leadership, including utilizing WRapid and other necessary technology platforms daily
    • Develop an advanced understanding of the global mobility requirements for the countries in which the firms clients are traveling, including staying up to date on these requirements as they change
    • Utilize existing organizational tools and participate in the development of new tools and processes to facilitate management of a high volume of cases at any given time
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for 3 to 5 countries and assist in training junior team members on same and/or serving as a case mentor on same
    • Review business visa and other straightforward case-related drafts from more junior team members as assigned by manager or attorney


Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree with strong academic record
  • 2-5 years of experience in global mobility or international immigration
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Clear and effective communication skills, especially in a professional email setting


Pay may vary based on location and experience. Open to international candidates. The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000 to $75,000. Interested candidates must provide a resume and cover letter in order to be considered for the position.
