• Conduct thorough intake assessments and mental health screenings to evaluate students' psychological needs and formulate personalized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based individual counseling sessions to address various concerns including anxiety, depression, and stress management.
• Facilitate therapy groups and workshops covering essential topics such as coping strategies, mindfulness practices, and personal development.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff from various departments to ensure comprehensive care and support for students across the campus.
• Develop and implement outreach initiatives like mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events aimed at promoting resources and reducing stigma.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical guidelines and legal regulations, ensuring that both privacy and security are upheld.

You will primarily support college students who come from diverse backgrounds and face a myriad of pressures, including academic challenges, personal issues, and transitional difficulties. Understanding the unique mental health challenges associated with the college experience is essential, as is the ability to connect with students who may be hesitant to seek help. Your expertise will not only aid individual students but also enhance the campus environment through community-focused initiatives.

• An active license as a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider (LPC/MHSP), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the mental health challenges that college students face, combined with effective counseling techniques to address these issues.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with students and collaborate with faculty and staff across various departments.
• Familiarity with brief therapy models and evidence-based practices that align with our university counseling framework.
• Ability to manage a high caseload and provide support in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

• Prior experience working in a college or university setting is greatly valued.
• Proficient in using telehealth platforms and digital communication tools for counseling.
• Additional training in specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is preferred.
