Work Environment

This position is fully remote, offering a flexible schedule that suits your lifestyle. Work directly from your home in a comfortable environment while seeing clients via video chat. You can choose from both full-time (30+ hours/week) and part-time (5+ hours/week) options, allowing you to create a balance between your personal commitments and professional responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ethical and compassionate counseling sessions via video chat, ensuring an inviting and supportive atmosphere for clients.
• Perform ongoing assessments, monitor client progress, and design personalized treatment plans that cater to each client's unique needs.
• Educate clients on developing effective coping mechanisms, problem-solving techniques, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to guide your therapy sessions and maintain high standards of care.
• Engage in regular supervision and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Mental Health Counseling Specialist, you will primarily work with stable, low-acuity adult clients. Many individuals in your caseload may be dealing with life transitions, stress management, anxiety, or mild depression. Your ability to provide tailored care and empathetic support is crucial in facilitating their growth and well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related disciplines is required.
• Appropriate state licensure is essential; candidates must hold one of the following: LCMFT, LCPC, LICSW, or PsyD.
• Must possess independent licensure, allowing you to practice without supervision and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• No history of disciplinary actions related to your professional licensure.
• Proficient in computer skills with a reliable internet connection to facilitate remote counseling sessions.
• Exemplary interpersonal communication skills to build rapport and trust with clients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in providing telehealth services in a mental health counseling capacity.
• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques applicable to low-acuity mental health conditions.
• Familiarity with health technology tools and electronic record-keeping.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range of USD 90,000 to 100,000, dependent on hours worked and client load.
