POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President, Risk Management Strategies of Liability, provides strategic and operational leadership for the development, growth, profitability, and overall performance of the Risk Management Strategies business. This position is responsible for developing and executing sustainable business strategies, identifying growth opportunities, resolving complex business and client issues, and establishing policies, procedures, and operational standards that drive quality, accuracy, efficiency, and profitability.
As a member of the senior leadership team, the Vice President participates in developing and executing long-term organizational strategies and provides leadership and direction to the Property and Liability functions. The position maintains significant responsibility for financial performance, client and carrier relationships, business development, service delivery, talent management, and strategic initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Matrix businesses, objectives, products, and services, and ensure that the organization's messaging and solutions effectively address client and broker needs.*
  • Maintain strong technical knowledge of Matrix products and services and determine how those solutions can best be deployed for specific clients, brokers, and carrier partners.*
  • Develop and execute short- and long-term business strategies designed to drive profitable growth, operational effectiveness, client retention, and service excellence.*
  • Assume responsibility for the financial and operational performance of assigned business areas, including profit and loss (P&L), quality, human resources, product development, strategic relationships, and policies and procedures.*
  • Lead and provide strategic direction to Property and Liability leaders and their respective teams.*
  • Establish performance expectations for subordinate leaders and evaluate operational, financial, client service, and organizational results.*

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant executive-level experience, required.
  • Master's degree or advanced professional designation preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience within a third-party administrator (TPA), insurance carrier, risk management organization, or related industry required.
  • Significant leadership experience with responsibility for business operations, client relationships, financial performance, and development of organizational strategy required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing leaders and professional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience with P&L management and financial accountability.
  • Extensive knowledge of automobile liability, general liability, and property programs.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with clients, brokers, carriers, and other strategic business partners.
  • Demonstrated business development and consultative sales experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required.
