This position is a home office/remote field position in the Eastern or Central region of the country.  Responsibility includes managing customer relationships for a number of customers that reside in various growth channels including Convenience, Drug, Limited Assortment and Military.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Customer Business Manager I for the Central Region will be responsible for managing customer relationships for a number of customers that reside in various growth channels including Convenience, Drug, Limited Assortment and Military. This individual will be responsible for delivering against growth objectives related to distribution, promotion, trade spend and retail media. Additionally, the successful candidate will lead internal annual planning, forecasting, checkbook management, customer line reviews, and retail execution planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve net sales, trade spend objectives, and profit targets through new customer prospecting and elevating existing relationships for the Convenience and Drug Channels, and ALT channels customers, including LIDL and Save-A-Lot.
  • Translate national sales strategies into customer centric plans, including innovation, merchandising programs, digital strategies, and an insights agenda 
  • Own the establishment of customer forecast across total business and manages checkbook using Telus / TPM
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional team to support customer planning and execution
  • Establishes an effective partnership with brokers to deliver against internal and customer objectives
  • Provide retail and in-store executional support for the Military channel under the direction of the CBM III.
  • Business travel required (10-25%)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management or related field OR in lieu of a degree 6 years’ directly related experience.
  • Minimum 3 years in Sales and Marketing in the CPG industry with customer management experience
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities and complexity.
  • Aptitude to make data-driven, insightful decisions leveraging sales reporting and consumption tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication combined with polished presentation capability
  • Valid driver’s license

As a general policy, McCormick does not offer employment visa sponsorships upon hire or in the future. 

Base Salary: $87,910 - $153,870

Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan/ McCormick’s Dividend Program.
